During a recent episode of the SwimSwam podcast, USA Swimming CEO Kevin Ring made this announcement, highlighting the positive changes on the horizon for professional athletes involved in the program. A spokesperson for USA Swimming confirmed that this increase will benefit the top 30 athletes of each gender, ensuring they receive $45,000 each year from the organization.
This new funding represents a $6,000 boost over the previous amount, which had remained unchanged for 15 years.
