Wishfully Studios and publisher Thunderful have just dropped a 10-minute exclusive gameplay video, offering a glimpse into the highly anticipated Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf. This cinematic puzzle adventure is set to launch in early 2026 for a range of platforms, including PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox Game Pass, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch 2, and Nintendo Switch.
The video showcases Lana and her companion Mui sneaking and solving puzzles through the desolate Northern Wastelands of Novo. What starts as a bleak journey quickly turns into a haunting sight as the duo discovers an endless graveyard of fallen robots. Their exploration leads them to a colossal, mysterious wall marked with a familiar symbol. After slipping through shadowy sewers and murky waters, they uncover something entirely new and unsettling, unlike anything previously seen on Novo.
Planet of Lana II: Children of the Leaf builds upon the original with deeper mechanics and more ambitious design. Players will experience an evolved companion system that strengthens the bond between Lana and Mui, allowing for more precise control, richer exploration, and cooperative puzzle-solving. The game introduces a wider range of clever, physics-based puzzles, including the ability to hypnotize strange creatures and manipulate new hybrid robots.
Stealth plays a larger role, with refined mechanics that reward careful planning and smart movement. Action sequences also feel more dynamic, thanks to Lana’s expanded agility, including wall jumps, run-slides, and faster traversal. Beyond gameplay, the sequel delivers a longer and more emotionally charged sci-fi story, complete with new underwater chapters and darker secrets. Returning composer Takeshi Furukawa once again provides a powerful, cinematic score that heightens every emotional moment.
